No. 11 Oklahoma Stuns No. 4 Alabama 23-21; Defense Forces 3 Turnovers

In order to upset No. 4 Alabama 23–21, the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners defense dominated, forcing three turnovers and scoring 17 points off of them. The victory ended the Tide's 17-game home winning streak and increased OU's chances of qualifying for the College Football Playoffs thanks to Eli Bowen's 87-yard pick-six and a pivotal late-game stop.
