Nimisha, a 34-year-old nurse from Kollengode, Kerala, is currently serving her sentence in Sanaa Central Prison. She was found guilty of killing her Yemeni business partner, Talal Abdo Mehdi, in 2017. Dr. Fazil Moideen, one of the council's founders, stated that the situation is urgent. We are exploring every possible avenue, including seeking assistance through humanitarian efforts and employing local tribal methods to resolve the matter. We are thoroughly exploring all possible options.

Still, the family of the victim is asking for a total amount of ₹4–5 crore (about $500,000), which is a big challenge. So far, the campaign has collected just over ₹1.8 crore.
